Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

CAMBODIA

CAMBODIA

Cambodia was memorable for the famous historic archaeological sites and the heat! It was so hot in Cambodia but that didn’t take away from the wonderful sites all over Siem Reap and the majestic Hindu temple, the Angkor Wat. This Wonder of the World is the largest religious monument in the world, built in the first half of the 12th century (113-5BC) and is considered to be an architectural masterpiece. Sadly, it rained the morning I went to the Angkor Wat to catch the sunrise but it didn’t take away from the splendor and magnitude of the place. Here are some pictures from my Angkor Wat visit and other sites around Cambodia.

Poor tuk-tuk driver was tuckered out from the early morning ride. He took me to Angkor Wat at sunrise so before 6 am!

Angkor Wat is truly amazing but so are the other sites in Cambodia. It was a lot of fun to visit Tom Prohm which was a location featured in the movie, Tomb Raider. It has some amazing trees that the monument was built around. Here are some of the pics I captured there.

And for the place I enjoyed the most, the Bayon Temple at Angkor Thom. I found this site to be the most artistic. I thought the temple architecture to be truly mind-blowing. The smooth faces of the deities carved out of stone left me speechless. The pictures don’t do it enough justice but hope these inspire you to add Siem Reap to your travel bucket list.

Cambodia was an amazing experience. I sweated more than I’ve ever before but it was so worth it.

Until the next adventure,

XOXO,

Moni
