Iceland Thoughts
I loved Iceland. It was different for me because I don't fancy myself that outdoorsy but I'm moved by nature and what it represents so had a great time taking in the sights. The tours were a great way to see different parts of Iceland though we met many people who rented a car and drove around the country. There's one main road that connects all the parts of the island but there are loads of tour companies so no need to drive, just book a tour and take the chance. My favorite part of the entire trip was spending the last day at the Blue Lagoon. This (man made) hot spring spa attraction is everything you want it to be. Set with a beautiful mountain backdrop, the water is so warm, you can see the steam rising from the Lagoon. Depending on your the package you purchase, you can have a drink at the lagoon and you also get two mud masks that have anti-aging benefits. There are several sauna, steam caves and spa baths at the Blue Lagoon. It's definitely a relaxing experience and worth every penny.
